SKETCHBOOK / Artful Drawing from the Nude
2009
This Limited Edition work of 200 deals with the "art" within drawing. Spontaneously written, originally for a public lecture, the artist has printed his notes along with the drawings made from the model at the time of writing.
To illustrate his love of the act of drawing, each copy carries an original drawing in coloured ink on the cover.
To make the point that to draw is more enjoyable than just making a picture, the artist has made this cover drawing 200 times and of course subtle differences are visible in each one, so this makes each book a unique & original artwork.
28 pages in black & white on art paper, coloured end papers, hand-drawn & signed cover illustration, numbered and signed on the inside back cover. 43cm x 31cm.
Comes in hand-printed folder, also signed & editioned to match the book.

by Geoff Todd, 2005
In this decade when the graphic novel has come into its own we discover Geoff Todd's '3.' This small book is a collection of three very short stories told essentially in illustration, but English & French text is there to help the less visually stimulated. Two of the stories Wine/Vin and Sculpture/Sculpture were first published as a limited edition book to accompany the drawings on exhibition in 1998 at Alliance Français, Canberra Australia. The drawings for Danse Macabre were made in La Chaise Dieu France in 2005 while the artist lived next door to where the original Danse Macabre fresco in the Abbey, painted in 1470, can be seen.
