The artist collaborated with a writer to illustrate her fictional story of an emotional breakup between two women, one a singer and songwriter, the other an artist. There are 4 volumes, each 1 metre high by 75cm across. Pages of heavy rag paper and transparent film, hinged with canvas and bolted together. Photo shows the books in their wheeled slipcases.

Private Pop

The development of Pop Art and its influence on Todd’s work is considered in a recorded dialogue between the artist and pop singer, Leo Sayer. This interview is transcribed in a limited edition artist’s book, ‘Private Pop’ which accompanied an exhibition of the artists collection of Pop Art and various works of his own influenced by those artists. The boxed book is a signed and numbered edition of 500 dated 2011.
